The Utrecht Science Park Night Run is a Friday-evening race in Utrecht, run after dark on an illuminated 5 km loop through the science park. Adults and older juniors can choose 5 km, 10 km, or 15 km, with official timing for each distance, suiting both those chasing a result and runners who mainly want the night-run atmosphere.
The route incorporates light installations, live music, bands, and other entertainment along the course, using the darkness as part of the experience. Younger runners have their own races: 800 meters for children aged 6 to 9 and 1.5 km for ages 10 to 12. Runnersworld Utrecht supports the event, an afterparty follows the finish, and the race also links its charity efforts to ALS.
