3-Sjøersløpet is a road half marathon in Stavanger, Norway, following a route around the city’s three central lakes. The race begins and ends in the Tjensvoll area, offering runners a 21-kilometer course through parts of Stavanger where training paths are situated near the city. It takes place in November and attracts approximately 5,200 participants, marking it as a significant local event.
The name translates to “the three lakes race,” and the course utilizes the lakeside paths that Stavanger has developed around these central bodies of water. Participants experience a varied city run on paved surfaces, with aid stations, restrooms, a published course map, and pacers available. The leading runners are fast, with recent men’s winning times near the 1:05 mark, but the large number of entries also indicates many recreational runners use it as a late-season half marathon.
