Årefjorden Rundt

Årefjorden Rundt is a terrain race in Moss, Østfold, starting and finishing at Rygge Ungdomsskole. Participants can select between a 13 km or 8.3 km distance. This race is part of Mossekarusellen, a local race series that also features Albyløpet, Ekholtløpet, and Kambomila. The timed field begins first, followed immediately by the trim class, accommodating both those aiming for a specific time and individuals preferring a shorter, less formal run. The course encircles Årefjorden, and several hundred local runners typically participate in this traditional Saturday event. Årefjorden Rundt has been held for 47 consecutive years, establishing it as a local fixture. Series participants use a single start number for all Mossekarusellen races. Registration is available on race day at Rygge Ungdomsskole for those not yet entered. Local runners like Ulrik Lolland compete at the front, joined by participants from local clubs, trim-class runners, and individuals completing a stage of the series.
