Brurunden - Kjell Halvarssons minneløp is a short race held at the Spillum swimming hole, with the main competition covering 4.6 km. The event caters to various runners: an untimed trim class begins at 11:00, the children’s race starts at 11:30, and the timed competition classes commence at noon. Children run approximately 700 metres, while the main race includes age groups from 12-14 up to 60+.
The primary route follows the gravel path alongside the Namsen river, crosses the new bridge, ascends Kjærlighetsstien, then proceeds on a marked path and road before crossing Namsbrua back to Spillum, finishing near the starting point. The course terrain includes gravel road, asphalt, and a short trail section, making it a varied short race. The children's route follows the initial 350 metres of the main course before turning back near the football field. Namdal løpeklubb organizes the race, with Ole Leirvik serving as race director. Class winners receive prizes, all children are awarded a prize, every participant gets a diploma, and a 500 NOK bonus is offered for setting a new course record.
