Fakkeltoget Løvstakken is an annual torchlight walk up Løvstakken mountain in Bergen, supporting the Norwegian Cancer Society. It is more of a shared evening mountain outing than a competition, with no fitness requirement and an open invitation to adults, children, and families.
The walk begins as darkness falls, with the city lights visible below. At the summit, participants receive medals and enjoy grilled food and other activities before descending together with lit torches. At the finish, everyone gets food and drinks like pizza, mulled wine, and gingerbread cookies; children also receive a goodie bag from Santa and a diploma. The event has taken place since 2014.
