Flækøyhøe Upp begins in Bismo, Skjåk's center, on the road between the town hall and the bank, approximately 400 meters above sea level. This uphill running race takes place on a Saturday in June and includes both a recreational and a competition class. It is also part of Norway's Cup for mountain and uphill races.
The course starts in the town center, proceeds along the pedestrian and bike path to Skamsarbrua, then crosses the bridge and county road before ascending Morkavegen. Recreational participants have the option of starting within a morning window or joining a group start; their times are not officially recorded. The competitive runners begin later. Prizes are awarded outside the shopping center and require in-person collection. Within the Norwegian Cup series, Flækøyhøe Upp is one of three uphill races, alongside Kvasshovden Opp and Melshornet Opp. Other trail races, such as Lofoten Ultra and Meråker Mountain Challenge, are also featured on the broader cup schedule.
