Furusjøen Rundt - Rennet

Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet is a classic cross-country ski race held annually on Kvamsfjellet, near the entrance to Rondane National Park in Norway. Participants can select from 45 km, 20 km, or 12 km routes. The shorter distances are designated for classic technique, and the event material also specifies the longer race as classic. The course crosses winter terrain, transitioning from forested hills to open mountain landscapes. Typically, between 625 and 820 skiers participate each year, establishing it as a significant regional ski race rather than a large-scale event. The 45 km race is included in the Ski Classics Challengers series and serves as a seeding race for both Vasaloppet and Birkebeinerrennet, benefiting skiers preparing for major long-distance races later in the season.
