Kystløpet is an 11-kilometer community race in Egersund, Rogaland, held in October and organized by EIK friidrett. It begins and ends at Gamle Eigerøyveien, and the event has been a fixture on the local running schedule since 2007.
The course follows Den gamle Jærbanen, the old railway path, to a turnaround point in Maurholen before runners return the same way. It is a modest-sized race, with approximately 50 participants pre-registered and more anticipated closer to race day. A consistent tradition lends the event a local purpose beyond the run itself: any surplus is donated to charity, supporting the Egersund and Dalane Red Cross and assisting refugees in participating in athletics through covering entry fees and providing training clothes.
