The Oslo Bergen Trail is a self-supported ultra-trail race from Oslo to Bergen, Norway. It begins at the Soria Moria hotel in Oslo and concludes in Bergen. Held in early July, the race spans several days, covering approximately 500 kilometers with over 15,000 meters of elevation gain. This event is also an UTMB Index Race, allowing finishers to earn points within the UTMB system.
The race is a point-to-point crossing between cities, not a loop or staged event, with participants completing the distance in a single continuous effort. The course crosses natural landscapes, including forests, lakes, and ponds, on its lengthy westward path between Norway's two largest cities. Runners can compete individually or in teams of two or three. Recent results show just over one hundred finishers, with the winning time exceeding five days, indicating the race's considerable scale.
