Perseløpet is a low-threshold Norwegian street race focused on personal bests, offering 3 km and 10 km distances on multiple race days throughout the season. Located about 45 minutes from Oslo, the event provides free parking near the start and finish, self-service bib collection, and immediate live online results as runners finish.
The course features a flat 2633.8-meter loop. The 3 km route has a -0.1% gradient, and the 10 km route is listed at -0.3%. Both courses are approved by AIMS and the Norwegian Athletics Federation. The setup is designed for record attempts, with 30-40% of runners typically achieving a new personal best, and this figure has reached 70% at some races. Finishers receive a medal, all participants get free photos, and runners who surpass their previous best are recorded in the event’s personal-record statistics.
