Rekordmila is a 10 kilometer race held in Buvika, Trøndelag, beginning at Buvika center and taking place in early June. The course is measured, certified, fast, and flat, making it suitable for runners aiming to improve their 10K time and for those seeking a simple road race. A children's race is also offered, and the main event provides cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers.
The route starts at Buvika center, following the old road towards Øysand. It extends slightly more than halfway before turning back towards the finish line. Rekordmila originated from the organizer's personal recovery and his positive experiences with the Norwegian running community. Its unique tradition, "Gode Gjerninger," is modeled after Britain's GoodGym: participants can substitute the entry fee with a good deed. This deed might be a local, practical action such as assisting a neighbor with shopping, mowing a lawn, reconnecting with someone, or collecting litter, with participants able to submit a photo afterward.
