Sjusjøløpet

Sjusjøløpet is a Norwegian autumn running event held in Sjusjøen, centered on an 11 km loop around Sjusjøvannet. Alongside the main race, a 1.5 km option and a non-competitive Trim route are offered, catering to those aiming for a specific time and participants seeking a shorter walk. The primary course consists of easy-running trail and road, featuring minor inclines before the most challenging section near the end. The majority of the 170 meters of elevation gain occurs in the final kilometer leading to the Sjusjøen cross-country arena. Sjusjøløpet Yngre, a children's race for ages 8-12 on trail and gravel, is also part of the event, with main race age categories starting at 13. The event previously took place for seven consecutive years, paused because of the pandemic, and was later revived by Sjusjøen Idrettsanlegg, an entity supported by seven local clubs in Nordre Ringsaker.
