Skagerrakmila is an evening running event in Arendal, Norway, with the main race starting in the city center at 19:00. IK Grane Arendal Friidrett organizes it as a local running festival, and the program also includes a children's race for runners up to 12 years old earlier in the afternoon. The race has been held more than thirty times, with both the start and finish set in central Arendal.
The route runs through the city center and also heads into nearby areas east and west of it. Pollen is the best spot for spectators because runners pass there at the start, around halfway, and again as they come in toward the finish. A June evening in Arendal often means good weather, people watching from the streets and outdoor restaurants, and for many locals the race feels like the start of summer vacation.
