Sommerskogsløpet 2026

Sommerskogsløpet is a June trail race held in the woods north of Kristiansand, with all distances concluding at Dalane. Participants can select from 8 km, 12 km, or a 21 km half marathon. The courses largely utilize the region's primary hiking path instead of urban roads. The three races commence at distinct locations: Bergstølhytta for the 8 km, Aurebekk for the 12 km, and Stemmen for the half marathon. The event has taken place nearly thirty times. Previously, the start was at Grim school and the finish at Kjerrane for many years. The current Dalane arrangement simplifies parking and participant logistics. A detail reflecting the race's understated character is the reuse and return of start numbers at the finish.
