Trollheimsløpet is a local running event in Rindal Sentrum, held on the second day of Pentecost and approaching its 49th edition. The main route follows a prepared gravel path around Igltjønna, with both start and finish at Trollbanen. It is designed for families and competitive runners alike, offering untimed recreational options over 1 or 3 km, a children’s race of just over 200 m, and a 1 km race for ages 11 to 14.
The children’s race takes place on Trollbanen, and every child receives a medal. The youngest local athletics group participates, with dozens of children aged 10 and under attending spring training, encouraging parents and other family members to join the recreational class. Older runners have a competitive prize structure: the top three finishers aged 15 and up receive cash prizes, course records earn an additional 1000 NOK, and class winners outside the overall top three receive 300 NOK.
