At Massey University Recreation Centre, this is the junior part of "NZ's biggest mud run series," designed for primary and intermediate aged kids, not adults aiming for a clean finish photo. It feels like a real mud/OCR day, adjusted for younger participants: somewhat messy, somewhat daring, and the type of event where hesitant children might find themselves smiling by the midpoint.
Expect "challenging obstacles" and the same benefits as the adult event, including "hot showers and spot prizes" once the mud is finished. The participants are school-year children and their families, so the focus is less on speed and more on navigating obstacles together at one of the series' notable locations.
