Kerikeri Half Marathon

The Kerikeri Half Marathon is a 21.1 km point-to-point road race from Ōkaihau to Kerikeri in Northland, New Zealand. It is part of the Sport Northland Run/Walk Series and serves as the series finale. The race begins near State Highway 1 and Waiare Road, then proceeds mostly on public roads with cones and marshals directing participants toward town. A 5 km run/walk offers a shorter option for newer runners and walkers on the same event day. The main attraction is the course profile: it is one of New Zealand’s few mostly downhill half marathons, making it suitable for runners aiming for a fast time as well as those progressing from shorter road races. The half marathon route winds through rural Northland countryside before concluding at Kerikeri Domain in the centre of Kerikeri. The 5 km course deviates to off-road sections and utilizes local trails, including a path alongside Wairoa Stream Waterfall.
