レースについて
The Leith Cross Country Relays & Ponydale Challenge, held at the Pony Club on Three Mile Hill, offers a genuine club cross-country atmosphere: grass underfoot, teammates nearby, and open to all, not just club members. This yearly teams relay is designed for informal teams of family, friends, schoolmates, or workmates, allowing for a relaxed approach.
The course is rough and grassy, featuring uneven terrain that demands honest effort over a smooth road-race pace. Junior runners have dedicated events: the “Short Trot (10 - 12 years)” and “Long Trot relay (U14s)” provide children with a proper race experience. An additional element is the Ponydale Challenge, a three-hour event where the runner completing the most laps wins.
