The Bieg pod Byczyną begins and ends at the Municipal Stadium in Byczyna, a town in Poland’s Opole Voivodeship. The main race is a 5 km run for adults and older teenagers, aged 16 to 99, with a limit of 250 participants. Separate stadium races of 200 and 400 meters are held for children. The Atelier Sportu Association is responsible for organizing the event, including timing, technical support, and race management.
Past events indicate the race was more than a basic 5K road race. The course featured varied terrain: asphalt, gravel roads, track, and grass. Runners departed the stadium via Brzozowa Street, proceeded toward Stawowa Street, and utilized a county road section towards the provincial border before returning. The 5 km route also incorporated a loop through the village of Jaskowice. Results are categorized by gender and age groups, with cash or material prizes awarded to winners.
