The Będzin Independence Half Marathon is a city-organized race in Będzin, Poland, taking place near Independence Day. It features a 21 km half marathon, a nearly 7 km run, and a Nordic walking option. Both the start and finish are located at the Nowak-Mosty Będzin Arena. As entry limits have been met, this is not a small casual event; the large field requires pacemakers, traffic personnel, volunteers, and a cyclist to lead the front runners.
The half marathon route begins at the arena on Sportowa Street. It proceeds along Małobądzka, Słowiańska, Kościuszki, and 11 Listopada before reaching the Czarna Przemsza river boulevards. Participants will run alongside the river towards Lidl, circle the library building at Plac prof. Wójcika, turn around on Krasickiego Street, and return to the arena. The event incorporates its Independence Day theme, with participants encouraged to sing the national anthem together. All finishers will receive a commemorative medal.
