The Jarocin Young Oaks Run features short forest races in Jarocin, starting and finishing near the woods by Aleja Niepodległości and Przemysłowa Street. It is designed primarily for children and teenagers, with separate age groups for boys and girls if entries are numerous. The youngest participants, in the Żołędziowe Maluchy category, run 150 meters. Distances increase with age: 250 meters, 500 meters, 800 meters, 1 kilometer, 1.5 kilometers, and 2 kilometers for older youth. An additional 3-kilometer Open Graduate Run is available for ages 17 and above.
The oak-themed category names contribute to the event’s character: little acorns, oak leaves, young shoots, forest branches, strong limbs, young oaks, oak crowns, and oaks. The finisher zone is located at Zespół Szkół Społecznych on Przemysłowa Street, near the race course. Stowarzyszenie Biegacze Jarocin organizes the event, with a participation limit of 400 runners. Each race bib includes a chip for electronic timing, and the race package contains a medal and water. Parents or guardians must be present for verification and to accompany minors during the run.
