The Land of Beskid Lakes is a picturesque gorge of the Soła River through the western part of the Beskid Mały mountains. It features beautiful mountain trails, three lakes, and Mount Żar, a hub for various sports including running, skiing, downhill biking, cycling, paragliding, and gliding. A running festival is held here with four distances: a 3.5-kilometer Czupel Vertical with 600 meters of elevation gain, a 43-kilometer ultramarathon, a 21-kilometer race, and a 17-kilometer race. The trails showcase the essence of the local mountains, their nature, stunning views, wildness, and remnants of past human activity, such as a forest amphitheater and stone shepherd huts, alongside modern renewable energy power plants. The festival was inspired by the Frassati Mountain Run, with participants requesting longer and shorter distances. The event takes place in early autumn, when summer sun meets the fall colors of the forest, covering the area from Lipnik and Straconka in the west to Wielka Cisowa Grappa in the east, and from the Tresna dam in the south to Porąbka in the north.
