Maraton Zagłębiowski 2027

Maraton Zagłębiowski is a spring night marathon in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie, covering the full 42.195 km distance and shared by Sosnowiec and Dąbrowa Górnicza. Runners begin at ArcelorMittal Park in the evening and conclude at Arena Sosnowiec late in the evening or at night. The route holds a Polish Athletics Association certificate, and the 6-hour time limit establishes it as a formal road marathon, not a casual city run. The course proceeds from Sosnowiec toward Dąbrowa Górnicza and returns to Arena Sosnowiec, passing significant local landmarks in both municipalities. Pogoria 3 pier is situated around the halfway mark and functions as the primary fan zone and the exchange point for the “Half by Half” relay. The event originated as a collaborative effort between the two city administrations, with local authorities positioning it as the most substantial running competition in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie and an advancement over the region's prior races.
