Triathlon Lewin Brzeski

Triathlon Lewin Brzeski is a short-distance triathlon in Lewin Brzeski, Poland, held on the first Sunday of September at the municipal beach on Nysańska Street. The main race is a 1/8 Ironman: a 475 m swim, about 22.2 km on the bike, and a 4.5 km run. The start, finish, race office, and transition setup are all located by the bathing area, so the entire event is centered around the local gravel pit and beach rather than a city-centre course. The swim is one loop with wetsuits permitted and a 25-minute time limit. The bike leg consists of two loops on asphalt, featuring some rougher sections, and runs with open traffic. Riders must wear helmets, obey traffic laws, and maintain a 10-meter distance to avoid drafting, except during overtakes. The run is short but varied, with approximately half asphalt and half gravel. Individual competitors and relay teams may enter; places are limited, and timing is managed professionally. The event also draws spectators and families to the beach, offering a sports zone, demonstrations, workshops, inflatables, activities, and children’s games, all under the mayor’s honorary patronage.
