Walimskie Biegi Górskie is a mountain-running series held in Walim, Poland, within the Sowie Mountains. Taking place in October, it features two primary distances: Sowi Hardcore, a 51 km mountain race, and Sowi Light, a 22 km option for a shorter trail run. The event is organized by Stowarzyszenie “Walim na Żądanie” in conjunction with the local sports and recreation center in Walim. The race office is located at the Centrum Sportu i Rekreacji on ul. Boczna.
The races traverse the Sowie Mountains Landscape Park and the broader Gmina Walim area. Their purpose is to promote mountain running, cross-country running, and outdoor activity with family. Sowi Hardcore begins early in the morning and awards finishers 2 ITRA points, presenting a more demanding trail-running challenge. This marks the event's eleventh edition, establishing it as a regular fixture for those seeking a Polish mountain race away from major tourist destinations.
