Castelo de Vide Sky Race

The Castelo de Vide Sky Race is a skyrunning event held in the historic town of Castelo de Vide, located within the Serra de Sao Mamede Natural Park in Portugal’s Portalegre district. The event offers runners multiple mountain course options: 22 km, 17 km, 12 km, and a short Sky Sprint. The races traverse the Serra de Sao Mamede terrain, featuring technical paths and steep ascents instead of flat, road-style running. Turres Trail Clube organizes the event, with support from the Municipality of Castelo de Vide. This weekend is designed for mountain runners, trail regulars, and athletes seeking a challenging course in a protected natural setting.
