Grande Prémio Caldas de São Jorge

The Grande Prémio Caldas de São Jorge is a local running event held next to the thermal park in Caldas de São Jorge, Santa Maria da Feira. Organized by Caldas de São Jorge Sport Clube, it is a fixture in the regional athletics calendar, with over twenty editions completed. The event features multiple races tailored to different age groups, ensuring appropriate distances for children, juniors, seniors, and veterans. The shortest race covers 400 meters for the youngest participants, while seniors and veterans compete over 8300 meters. A 4500-meter walk is also available to all participants, broadening the event's community appeal beyond club members. Entrants may register through clubs, schools, associations, or as individuals. Some races offer separate male and female categories. Strong local involvement and a family atmosphere define the event, with local authorities providing support for security and race-day operations.
