Trail Cidade de Moura 2027

The Alqueva reservoir serves as the primary landmark for Trail Cidade de Moura - Terra do Grande Lago, a trail running event based in Moura, located in Portugal’s Beja district. This race takes place in April in the Alentejo region and features a 31 km trail, a 16 km trail, a 10 km walk, and a Trail Kids event, catering to a range of participants. The course follows packed dirt paths, rural tracks, natural trails, and stream banks in the vicinity of the Alqueva area. Participants should pay attention to the terrain, as firm dirt can transition to looser soil near water, short ascents may challenge traction on dry, exposed slopes, and low-lying clay sections can become slick with lingering moisture from the lake. Casa do Benfica de Moura is the organizing body, and this event represents one of the club’s key activities.
