Trail de Rio de Moinhos 2026

The Trail de Rio de Moinhos is an October trail event held in Rio de Moinhos, a parish within Sátão, Viseu, Portugal. The start area is located at Nossa Sra. dos Prazeres. Participants can select a 23 km trail run or a 13 km mini trail run. A separate 11 km route is available for walkers. The two running distances are open to individuals aged 16 and older. The walking route has no age restriction, though minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. The courses feature technical trail sections, forest paths, and mountain terrain, passing by historic mills and alongside watercourses. The routes are marked, and aid stations offering food and drinks will be present. Changing rooms will be available at the finish line. This event is organized by residents of Rio de Moinhos with the aim of encouraging outdoor activity and highlighting the parish's natural trails. Registration includes a bib, an event T-shirt, insurance, and a lunch ticket. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in overall, age-group, and gender categories, as well as to the most represented team and the oldest participant.
