Trail do Gadanha 2026

Trail do Gadanha is a trail-running event held in Barroças e Taias, within the Estremoz area of Portugal's Alentejo region. It features a 22 km Trail Longo, a 14 km Trail Curto, and a 12 km non-competitive walk, allowing participants to select a distance suited to their abilities. The starts are staggered throughout the morning, beginning with the long trail, followed by the short trail, and concluding with the walk. The routes traverse natural trails surrounding Barroças e Taias, integrating the run with the local heritage instead of relying on simple road sections. This event is organized by AGE Associação Gestos e Encontros, with assistance from the Junta de Freguesia de Barroças e Taias. It accommodates both competitive and social participation, as trail runners, casual runners, and walkers share the event village and morning schedule.
