Trail Rios e Levadas Teaga Aventura begins and ends at the Associação Académica de Santa Cruz headquarters in Santa Cruz, Arcozelo das Maias, Oliveira de Frades, Viseu district, Portugal. This mountain trail event features two races, 21 km and 14 km, and a 10 km non-competitive walk. Runners and walkers use the same local base but select different effort levels.
The courses primarily follow trails and rural paths through the Lafões countryside, incorporating riverbanks, wooded areas, old levadas, bridges, and mills. The region, situated between mountains and valleys, is traversed by the Vouga and Alfusqueiro rivers, contributing to the varied terrain of watercourses and climbs. The 21 km race involves approximately 1000 meters of elevation gain, and the 14 km race has about 650 meters, requiring participants to have fitness and some mountain self-sufficiency. A past edition saw over 500 participants, and the event has also concluded the Viseu District Trail Running Circuit.
