The Trail Summer Challenge is a summer trail event held at Praia da Foz do Lizandro in Ericeira, Portugal, starting and finishing by the sand. It features a long trail race of approximately 24 km, a shorter trail race of approximately 15 km, and a leisure walk of approximately 12 km, allowing participants to select between a competitive race and a more relaxed coastal excursion.
The courses primarily utilize natural terrain along the Atlantic coast, combining mountain trails, dirt paths, and open vistas of the sea. This event, now in its eighth edition, has a distinct character because of its beach location, differing from an inland trail race. Participants begin at the sand's edge, traverse the coastal landscape surrounding Ericeira, and conclude back at Foz do Lizandro.
