Urban Mile of Beer 2026

Urban Mile of Beer is a beer-mile event at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company in The Grove, with Manchester Avenue configured as a 400-meter race loop. Each participant consumes four 12-ounce beers and completes four laps, drinking each beer in the transition zone before beginning the subsequent lap. Cans must remain sealed until the zone, and shotgunning is prohibited. Early evening heats accommodate solo runners and two-person teams, with a non-alcoholic choice offered. The loop places the chug zone on Newstead Avenue, centrally located. Runners proceed west towards Taylor Avenue and return, then east towards Tower Grove Avenue and return, repeating this sequence. Spectators may view from the Urban Chestnut terrace or along Manchester Avenue. Food vendors will be present in the brewery parking lot, and a DJ will provide music throughout the event. The night concludes with an Elite Heat, showcasing 40 to 50 top beer milers from North America, offering prize money and aiming for sub-5-minute beer miles.
