Vila Chã Aldeia Trail is a trail-running event held in August in Vila Chã, Fornos de Algodres, located in Portugal's Beira Alta region. Participants can choose from four routes: a long trail of approximately 22 km with 800 m of elevation gain, a short trail of about 14 km with 500 m of climbing, and a mini trail and walk covering around 9 km with 200 m of ascent.
The courses traverse trails, country paths, dirt tracks, and stream sections within the village's vicinity. The long and short races are designated for adults, while the Mini Trail is intended for children aged 11 to 14, requiring parental consent. This event, organized by AVCAT - Associacao Vila Cha Aldeia Trail de Portugal, is part of the Beira Alta Trail Circuit VI(r)VER BEIRA ALTA. Now in its eighth edition, it is a consistent fixture on the regional trail running schedule.
