Gotaleden Stafett & Ultra is a trail running series from Gothenburg to Nolhaga Castle in Alingsås, a Swedish town known for its cafes. The main ultra is 75 km, with a 35 km individual option and relay races for teams dividing the route into stages. It is designed for a broad range of participants, from recreational runners completing a relay leg to experienced ultrarunners tackling the full distance solo.
The course uses the Gotaleden trail between the two cities, primarily on forest paths, with sections through villages and towns on gravel and asphalt. The 75 km race involves significant elevation changes, totaling 1,403 meters of ascent and 1,343 meters of descent, with the course elevation varying from approximately 5 to 185 meters above sea level. Ultra participants receive a food stop at Floda, all stage finishes offer water, energy drink, and energy, and the Alingsås finish includes showers, food trucks, a meal, prizes, entertainment, and an After Run.
