Sörmlands 100 Trail Run takes place in September in Sörmland, Sweden, with races centered near Nävekvarn and Öster Malma, close to Nyköping. The distances offered include an 8 km trail race, an 8 km night race, 21/22 km, 50 km, 105 km, 100 miles, and a 2 km kids race. This variety attracts a diverse field: ultra runners seeking a long challenge, shorter-distance trail runners, families, and beginners can all participate in the same event.
The terrain is a primary attraction: forest single track, technical coastal paths, and faster runnable sections through one of Sweden’s most biodiverse areas. The 100-mile race starts south of Mariefred, by Lake Mälaren, and finishes in the coastal village of Nävekvarn. It features approximately 2,700 meters of elevation gain, 13 aid stations, and a 33-hour time limit. The 105 km race has 1,746 meters of elevation gain and holds UTMB Index status. Beyond the running, the weekend offers local food and presentations by athletes and adventurers, with Klättermusen as the main partner.
