Gréta Run is a September trail race held in the Kvačianska dolina area, situated in the foothills of the Chočské vrchy mountains near Liptovský Mikuláš. Participants can choose from 15 km, 8.7 km, and a 3 km hobby race. Additionally, there are 500 m and 1000 m races specifically for children. The course utilizes forest gravel roads, distinct from city pavement, with Koliba Gréta serving as the central point for the finish line and post-race activities.
The 15 km and 3 km races commence at Koliba Gréta. The 8.7 km race begins at the entrance to Kvačianska dolina, leading participants back towards Gréta. This event is organized by Olympijský klub Liptova, with timing provided by KK-Sporttiming and medical services from SČK Liptovský Mikuláš. The race accommodates various participants across adult, veteran, hobby, and children’s categories, appealing to club runners, local families, and individuals seeking a shorter run in a mountain setting. All finishers receive a medal, the first 150 registered participants are given a T-shirt, and bean soup is available as part of the post-race offerings.
