Skyrun Kubínska 2026

Skyrun Kubínska is a mountain running race held in June on Kubínska hoľa, located above Dolný Kubín in Slovakia’s Žilina region. It is designed for runners who appreciate steep trails, the Orava countryside, and courses where climbing is as significant as speed. Bežecký klub Dolný Kubín, o.z. is the organizer, offering two race options: a shorter, intense effort or a longer mountain challenge. The SKYSHORT course covers 11 km with approximately 700 m of climbing. The longer course spans 24 km with around 1,300 m of elevation gain. The race begins at Kubínska u Krámerov, leading participants through the natural landscape of Orava on trails encircling Kubínska hoľa. This event commemorates Barnabáš Uvegeš. The organizers have also noted a pause in the event's calendar for organizational and family considerations.
