The Cowtown Race Weekend is an annual running event in Fort Worth, held on the last weekend of February. Lazaro Alvarez and Ronnie Chesko founded the marathon to support the local community, with Alvarez later collaborating with Jaclyn Livingston to develop it into a comprehensive running series. The races benefit the Irving Schools Foundation and provide practical runner amenities: complimentary professional photos, bag check, timing-chip bibs, live GPS tracking with progress alerts, custom finisher medals, and performance shirts. The marathon and half marathon offer cash prizes and pacers.
