The Fall Prairie Fire Marathon begins by the Arkansas River in Wichita, Kansas, with the longer races starting shortly after sunrise. Turkey Trails - Wichita is a Thanksgiving-themed running event in Wichita featuring a half marathon, 10K, 5K, 1 Mile, and a kids' dash for children 10 and under. It is designed for families and regular runners alike: the 5K and 10K offer youth pricing, the 1 Mile and kids' dash are untimed, and children can participate in the kids' dash at no cost if they opt out of the shirt and medal package. The race features chip timing, live results, awards, complimentary participant photos, and refreshments at the finish line. Participants in the half marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile receive a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. Kids' dash entries include a mini bib, a youth-sized shirt, and a child-specific medal. A virtual option allows runners to complete their chosen distance anywhere and still receive the event merchandise.
