デトロイトのランナーは、Riverwalk、Dequindre Cut、Joe Louis Greenway、Belle Isle Parkの周回コースを普段からよく走ってるよ。Riverwalkの周回は4 milesで、街のスカイラインとWindsorの景色が見えるんだ。WeRun313は、Two Mile Tuesdays、5K/10K Thursday、Sunday Long Runでいつも盛り上がってるね。RUNdetroitは、一年中毎週土曜の朝8時に1948 Division Stからスタートして、3, 6, 10 mileのコースを選べるよ。Detroit Free Press Marathon、Detroit Riverfront Run 2026、CHASS 5k Run/Walk & Kid's Superhero Race、The Sugar Rush 5Kみたいなレースがカレンダーを彩ってるんだ。

デトロイトは5月から9月が一番気持ちいい時期だね。ランナーはRiverwalkでZ2を積んだり、サイクリストはBelle Isle、Hines Park Trail、Stony Creek Metroparkの方へ夕方のライドを伸ばしたりしてる。気温が2°Cを下回る日が12日あるから、地元の人は早めにスタートしたり、intervalsをしっかりこなしたり、あと5月と6月は雨が多いから気をつけてるよ。冬になると、ランニングもサイクリングもリズムが変わるんだ。だいたい11月15日から4月4日の間に雪が降って、多くの日は気温が氷点下かそれに近いから、ランナーは除雪された道を走ったり、サイクリストは厚着してロードライドに出たり、インドアトレーニングをしたり、コンディションが良ければmountain bike loopsを楽しんだりしてるよ。
