The kids’ 800m fun run begins first, followed by the 5k at 9:00 a.m. The main race starts on the blue track near the WVU Coliseum. Children under 12 have the option to enter the 5k or participate in the shorter Turkey Fun Run, a two-lap event on the blue track divided into heats for different age groups. The 5k route departs the track after nearly a full lap, descending Mon Boulevard before turning onto Boyers Avenue and Leeway Street. It then merges with the rail trail for approximately the last two miles, concluding behind the Seneca Center at Morgantown Running. Morgantown Running also conducts random prize drawings. The event supports Girls on the Run of North Central West Virginia. The Gratitude Run is a Thanksgiving morning run and walk in Albuquerque, held at Arroyo del Oso Park near Wyoming and Spain. This is NHI's Annual Gratitude Run/Walk, featuring a 5K run/walk, a 1-mile walk, and a 400-meter kids' dash, accommodating families and casual walkers alongside runners. The route begins and ends at Arroyo del Oso Park, utilizing a dedicated course through Arroyo del Oso Golf Course. The event centers on the 4 F's: Family, Fun, Friendly, Free. Donations are optional, with proceeds supporting NHI programming for the upcoming year. Running Medicine offers an optional stretch circle before the races, strollers are permitted, the course can be quite bumpy, and pets are prohibited on the course.

The Reindeer Run 5K, hosted at ShawneeCraft Brewery, is a holiday-themed 5K race and 1-mile walk. The event takes place at ShawneeCraft Brewery and the historic Shawnee Inn and Golf Course. The 5K begins at 10 AM, with the walk starting five minutes later. This marks the event's fourth year. The route guides runners across a bridge onto the golf course, then combines cart paths, fairways, and a wooded trail before concluding at the brewery. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers overall and in age groups, starting with under-14 and progressing through standard decade brackets. All finishers receive a craft beer or soda, along with a beer glass. Those who register early are guaranteed a fleece-lined custom beanie. Live music will be performed after the race into the evening, and food can be purchased at the brewery.

The full marathon is a certified Boston Marathon Qualifier, running two loops of the half marathon course. First-time half or full marathon finishers receive a special plaque and finisher's medal. SWAG includes a T-shirt, finisher's medal, and ankle running socks. Service members and their families receive a 10% discount. A non-binary registration option includes its own awards.
