The Motivation Mile features signs with messages from club members and other runners, placed at a point where many participants often need encouragement.

The Boston Marathon is a spring road race held on Patriots' Day in Massachusetts. The course runs from Hopkinton to Boston. It is the world's largest annual marathon, attracting approximately 20,000 participants. Entry is known for strict qualifying standards, as well as charity and invitational spots.
