The Run For Your Life 5k Series - The City Collapsed
The Run For Your Life 5k Series - The City Collapsed is a 5k road race in Fairborn, Ohio, held on a fall Saturday with a zombie-apocalypse theme. Participants start as Survivors, wearing flag football belts. The race challenges runners not just to finish the distance, but also to protect their flags from being captured, which would mark them as infected. Zombies have a distinct role: they remain within designated infected zones rather than completing the full course. Their objective is to remove flags from approaching Survivors. This event is modest in scale, anticipating 1 to 100 participants. It emphasizes costumes, imaginative zombie makeup, speed, rapid decision-making, and composure under duress.
Run Like a Girl 5K 10K 10-Mile
Run Like a Girl is an all-women's running series in Westerville, Ohio, offering 5K, 10K, and 10-mile options on the same morning. The races begin between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., providing Central Ohio runners a choice of a short road race, a middle-distance effort, or a longer challenge. The field accommodates a wide range of runners, from first-timers and weekend participants to faster athletes seeking competition. Groups of four or more receive a per-person registration discount, aligning with the event's emphasis on friends registering together as well as individual runners testing their limits.
Minster Oktoberfest Classic 10k
The Minster Oktoberfest Classic 10k is a flat, fast road race in Minster, Ohio. It begins at Minster High School on East 7th Street and is held during the Minster Oktoberfest weekend. This race has been contested for decades and is part of the Run Ohio Grand Prix Series. It offers a small-town atmosphere with the competitive spirit of a larger event, evidenced by its course records of 28:18 for men and 31:57 for women. The course is designed for speed, featuring music and festival energy instead of a quiet route. Runners are incentivized with prize money for the top 10 finishers, awards for Masters, Grand Masters, top local Minster runners, age-group winners, and finishers in the quarter-pack, middle-pack, and three-quarter-pack categories. A 1-mile Fun Run, finisher medals, a budget-friendly entry option, and a virtual race are also available. Post-race, participants can enjoy Oktoberfest offerings like beer, brats, music, and crafts.
The Run For Your Life 5k Series - The Last Escape
The Run For Your Life 5k/10k Series - The Final Stand
Run For Your Life is a charity 5k and 10k fun run/walk held at the PNWU campus in Yakima, Washington, starting and finishing on campus. Organized by PNWU students, the race is combined with a health fair, making the morning suitable for runners, walkers, families, and local residents, not just competitive racers. Check-in is in the morning before a 9:30 start, with participants selecting either the 5k or 10k route. The event originated on PNWU’s campus in Terrace Heights and maintains a student-led, community-health focus. Funds raised support PNWU scholarships, particularly for students from rural and medically underserved areas pursuing health careers. The Community Fair features PNWU student clubs and local health organizations, offering information on topics like heart health, diabetes, smoking cessation, back pain, mental health, therapy services, substance abuse, outdoor recreation, exercise, and sexual health. Race shirts, route maps, parking details, and RunSignUp registration are provided.

The Pumpkin Hunt aligns with MVOC’s tradition of local map-based races in the Dayton and Yellow Springs region.
Autumn Squatch 10K, 20K & 50K
The Autumn Squatch 10K, 20K & 50K takes runners and hikers into the woods at Alum Creek State Park in Lewis Center, Ohio, in late autumn. The race utilizes the Rocks and Roots Trail, with the start and finish located just off Hollenback Road, south of the dog park. All participants begin at 8 a.m. and then select their loop count: one loop for the 10K, two for the 20K, and five for the 50K. The Squatch theme is present throughout the day: hundreds of Squatch enthusiasts enter the Alum Creek woods annually, searching for the elusive Autumn Squatch. According to race lore, the first documented sighting occurred in the fall of 2012. The creature is said to frequent the Rocks and Roots Trail on late-autumn nights as it moves south for winter. This format keeps 10K trail runners, longer-distance runners, 50K ultrarunners, hikers, and volunteers connected by the same wooded loop system.
Got Chocolate 5k/10k
Got Chocolate?! 5K/10K Walk, Run, or Roll starts at Xenia Station in Xenia, Ohio, with both distances using the local bike path. The event is open to runners, walkers, and participants using wheels, and the afternoon schedule starts with registration before the races begin. The race benefits Family Promise of Greene County, with proceeds helping local displaced families recover from homelessness. Finishers come back to a chocolate-focused post-race party with chocolate donuts, hot chocolate, and chocolate candy, while winners receive awards and results are posted through Speedy Feet as people finish.
Horseshoe Hill Climb
The Horseshoe Hill Climb is a trail race at Marmon Valley Farm near Zanesfield, Ohio, approximately 45 minutes northwest of Columbus. It takes place in November and provides short and longer trail options, with distances noted in recent event information as 5K, 10K, 20K, and occasionally 30K. The race utilizes the farm’s private trail network instead of paved roads, so participants should anticipate dirt, grass, uneven terrain, creek crossings, and mud if conditions are wet. The course is structured around a 10K loop crossing bridle trails, farm lanes, open meadows, hardwood forest, ravines, fields, creeks, and scenic overlooks across Marmon Valley Farm’s extensive acreage. The event generates funds for summer horse camp scholarships, enabling children from economically disadvantaged families to attend camp; runners can also contribute to this cause by supporting Team Wrangler. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in each distance category, and the participants generally consist of trail runners seeking a challenging, unpaved farm course rather than a road race focused on personal bests.
Run To Feed The Hungry - Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, 1mi & Kids Dash
Run To Feed The Hungry is a running event in Columbus, Ohio, starting at 500 Maier Place. The event includes a 402 m kids' dash up to a half marathon, accommodating families, new runners, and those seeking a longer distance within the same race series. The available distances are 402 m, 1 mile, 5K, 10K, and 21.1 km for the half marathon. The event's name indicates a food-relief purpose, and the shorter race options make the day accessible for children and walkers, alongside runners aiming for the 5K, 10K, or half marathon.
Ezra J. Hartke 5K/10K Race for Hope
The Ezra J. Hartke Race for Hope is an annual November fundraiser offering 5K and 10K races. Named for Ezra J. Hartke, it supports childhood cancer research and care, having raised over $133,000 to date. The event is presented by The Barry & Denise Johnson Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to raising funds and providing support for childhood cancer. Funds from the inaugural race generated $18,000 for Dayton Children's Hospital research into brain tumors. This research included studying how tumor cells resist treatment and how a steroid medication affects stem cells within a tumor. That initial donation contributed to launching a larger project focused on targeting specific cell types in brain tumors to improve therapy effectiveness.
SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run Columbus
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run Columbus is a November race held in Columbus, Ohio, offering 5K, 15K, and 1K distances. It belongs to the Hot Chocolate Run series, a large-scale running event centered on a chocolate theme, distinct from a typical single-distance road race. The event's slogan is "America's Sweetest Run," emphasizing the post-race indulgence: train, race, and finish with chocolate. Participants, including runners, walkers, and families, can select a suitable distance. The Columbus event also utilizes volunteers to assist with race day operations.

Springfield

地元の人たちは、Buck Creek State Park、Buckhorn Trail、George Rogers Clark Park、Ferncliff Cemetery and Arboretum、John Bryan State Parkでオフロードも楽しんでるね。 River Ridge II 5kとかWorld Race for Hope 5kみたいなシンプルな5kレースもあるよ。

Little Miami Scenic Trail、Buck Creek Trail、Prairie Grass Trail、Simon Kenton Trailあたりでしっかりbase milesをこなしてる。
