NCTRaces: 15x is a last-runner-standing race held at Palmer's Landing in Solon Springs, Wisconsin. It is part of the NCTRaces trail-running series, which focuses on small-field events near Lake St. Croix and the North Country Trail area. The format is straightforward: runners continue until only one remains. Trail Life Inc. manages the race series and offers coaching. Their mission centers on encouraging people to use trails, establish running objectives, and provide support for trail systems.

On Thanksgiving morning in Duluth, Minnesota, the Gobble Gallop sends Northland runners out before the holiday meal. Duluth Running Company hosts this tradition, now in its decades-long run, which draws around 1,800 participants and offers a main 5K, the Tough Turkey 1-Mile, and the Gobble Giddy Up! Kids Run. The race is built for families as much as faster runners: some children first join in strollers, then come back old enough to run the one-mile race themselves.
