1K for United Way

The 1K for United Way is a short, fun run in downtown Helena, Montana. The course begins and ends at 48 North Last Chance Gulch. As part of Septemberfest, this event starts at 11:00 AM MDT. The distance is just one kilometer, making it a lighthearted community run rather than a demanding endurance challenge. The route offers complimentary donuts. The race emphasizes costumes, games, laughter, and treats. The theme is “Dinosaurs take over Downtown.” Cowbells will be awarded to the first 250 participants. The event welcomes both swift runners and those participating primarily for enjoyment. Proceeds support the United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area.
