2026 Bike Doctor Frederick Grand Fondue

The Bike Doctor Frederick Grand Fondue begins and ends at Orchid Cellar Meadery & Winery in Middletown, Maryland. Cyclists will travel through Frederick County on a mix of pavement, gravel, dirt, and optional trail sections. This October event, presented by Bike Doctor Frederick and Dirty Kitten Productions, offers three route distances: the Mini at approximately 25 miles, the Half at approximately 50 miles, and the Grand at approximately 100 miles. Significant climbing is involved, especially on the longer routes, with estimated ascents of 2,000 feet for the Mini, 5,500 feet for the Half, and 10,000 feet for the Grand. The event is structured as a supported long-distance ride rather than a formal race. Bicycles with narrow tires are not recommended. Registration includes custom routes, GPS files, cue sheets, snacks, and stocked aid stations for the Half and Grand routes. Rolling start windows are used to manage parking, check-in, and rider groups. Following the ride, participants can enjoy the amenities at the host winery, which include an event glass, a beverage for those 21 and older, live music, food from La Carreta Tacos y Tortas, prizes, and giveaways. The event supports Heartly House, with no-show registrations also being donated to the organization.
