This run honors Captain Michael "Buzzy" Andersen, who served the Cortland City Fire Department for 22 years. He fought stage 4 lung cancer, a job-related illness, as courageously as he fought fires. An avid runner and competitive athlete, he helped coordinate many races. The course begins near Courthouse Park, weaving through the hills of Cortland and the campus to just before Pashlay, then returns. It's a chance to remember Buzzy and spread awareness about the silent killers firefighters face.
