2nd Annual CK Racing Back to School 5k 2026

The CK Racing Back to School 5k is a family 5K run/walk in Kokomo, Indiana, starting at Jackson Morrow Park in the morning. It is still a young event, with its second running built around the start of the school year rather than a pure racing calendar slot. The race raises money for local teachers, students, and schools, with all proceeds going to the Kokomo Education Foundation. The event leans into the school theme: runners and walkers are encouraged to wear school colors or gear from a favorite school, and there is a table for dropping off supplies like pencils, notebooks, markers, glue sticks, tissues, and disinfectant wipes. Kids, teachers, coaches, parents, club runners, and walkers all fit the day. Every finisher gets a medal, and awards go to the top adult male and female runners, adult male and female walkers, and under-18 male and female runners.
