The David French Goffstown Gallop is a 5.2-mile road race in Goffstown, New Hampshire, held in late June with an 8:30 a.m. start. This is the race's 47th year, named for David French, who served as Goffstown’s recreation director for 32 years before retiring in 2010.
The course is shorter than a 10K but longer than a typical 5-miler, featuring inclines and obstacles that distinguish it from a flat neighborhood run. Age groups range from 16 and under for boys and girls to older adult divisions, including women 70 and up and men 80 and up. The field includes local families, longtime runners, visitors, and faster racers. Its extensive history is closely linked to Goffstown, and the event aims to bring residents and non-residents together on the same course.
